Holt Look-alike Meter

Our Big Little Disaster

The holt look a like test above is inaccurate we believe, we tried a few different pictures and Jaxson always looked more like momma by like 10%, for some reason everyone thinks he looks like momma the most, so we decided to keep this one on the blog for kicks.

Our house is an utter disaster! We are moving our stuff saturday, and leaving next week for NYC! May we just tell you how excited we are?? I have never been, and we are living in these great places in Fort Lee NJ, a suburb of NYC. Check out the pictures! Especially Grandma's who worry about where their new grandbaby is going to be and how safe we are. http://www.villagegreen.com/communities/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewSlideshow&CommunityID=101&floorplanID=0&row=2
My brother John actually served his mission in New Jersey, and Fort Lee was in his mission. He said we should still be careful about walking alone, and watch where we walk. But it still is safer than other places in New Jersey and New York. We will keep you posted on how our little adventure is.

Milestones in Jaxson's life came two fold over the past couple weeks. One....SOLIDS! Two...sitting up by himself. We like solids better than we thought, because we started giving graham crackers every once in a while too, and those are by far a bigger mess than solids. Except of course when Jaxson decides to rub his eyes while he's eating, because for some reason, he always rubs his mouth first, then his eyes. Funny kid, had to wash his eyes out numerous times already because he only eats solids right before he goes to bed. Seriously, why are babies such cute eaters?? I always wondered why the gross things they do are cute, but if we adults do the same thing, it's just disgusting. Even crapping their pants is sometimes cute because of the grunts and serious faces they get! What is the deal?? So Nate concurs, we feel Jaxson kind of grew up over night, because these two things happened basically at the same time, and when he sits up, he just looks like he is so much older, especially since we recently went to the doctor and he was 18 lbs at 6 months! He's our chunky monkey we call him. We are such proud parents, I don't know many parents who aren't though!

Check out my Slide Show!

Thursday, April 3, 2008

We just started our first BLOG ever! We are excited to keep you guys posted on how our little family is doing. It's a busy time for us right now with school and getting ready for Nate's summer job. Jacque is taking classes at BYU full time and doing an internship at Curves, and Nate is thankfully taking a break and helping with finances. He will be selling for Platinum Protection in New York City this summer. What an awesome adventure! Jacque and Jaxson have never been there, so it will be fun getting to know the place and seeing all the sights. Jacque and Nate had birthdays just recently, We were able to celebrate Jacque's with Amy, (twin sister).
You can tell how excited we were to turn 25.

Jaxson is getting HUGE! He is 16 lbs right now and turns 6 months in one week. He is sitting up, and hates being on his stomach so probably not even close to crawling! We absolutely love having this amazing kid around! He gives us the biggest grins and laughs, especially when we tickle him.

He loves baths and just splashes water absolutely everywhere!

He loves to be read to at night by Daddy, he always listens intently. He is sleeping great throughout the night, but we just got colds at our house, so things are a bit more mellow. Jaxson and Mommy had a conversation the other day for about 10 minutes talking back and forth, it was the cutest thing ever hearing those grunts and noises and squeals out of him. We're suprised that he hasn't taken off yet, he just loves standing and jumping in his jumper. We're almost positive he will walk before he crawls.
We plan on feeding him solids next week...you think we're ready for the mess?? hmmm. While Daddy played guitar hero on the Wii, Jaxson wanted in on some of the action...

But then he got really upset because he didn't pass the level....

He was able to be with Grandma and Grandpa Holt last week and gave Grandma some kisses on the cheek like he does to us all the time.

And he cuddled with Grandpa Holt. These are older pictures with his Cousins, Eva and Anna, you can tell Jaxson is going to be a ladies man already, he's enjoying being around them.

We're excited to stay in contact with some of you through blogging, we know it's the only way sometimes to know what's going on in peoples lives. So please keep in touch somehow!
