Pampered in the City

I looked on this website called LifeBooker.com, its great, all the big spas and great salons in NYC are on there and from there you can book an appointment for whatever services you want done. They have deals on there if they have an open spot or if someone cancelled their appointment.I found a great little place called Salon Santa Cruz for 50% off. So if anyone is going to the big city and wants to be pampered...whatever it may be, pedicure, massage, hair...then this is the site for you. I had a ball, it was so typical NYC, there was an assistant for this big shot hairdresser who has done several celebrities hair including J-Lo. They consulted me and told me exactly what they thought was stylish, and it was so funny because the stylist was flaming gay just like you would see in the movies. This place was right on 5th ave, and I definitely felt like a true NewYorker. What a fun day, and I have never had such Fabulous Hair! (no offense to those who do my hair on a regular basis, still love you!)

Fun with the in-laws in Palmyra & Niagara Falls

Hillary our niece is a little camera shy! But Grandpa was determined to get her picture.Grandma and Jaxson are having a good time eating together!

Nate wanted to take a pic and and it looks like no one wanted to comply but him. ha. We probably were all tired from this long drive from our house in NJ. Its about 6 hours each way.
Joseph Smith's log cabin on a beautiful day
Walking through the Sacred Grove
We actually saw a pillar of light! It was exactly over our heads, but I would say it wasn't quite brighter than the sun...it was more like the actual sun, but it was still fabulous experience seeing the scene of the crime as some would say! ha. But seriously, what a blessing to have someone so courageous as Joseph Smith to overcome the adversary and ask the Lord which church was true and to stick with it. I'm sure thankful for him. I hope you are too.
The Palmyra Temple, they actually built it where the actual log cabin would have been, and if you look through the front doors you can see all the way through it into the sacred grove, it's kinda cool.
Nate taking in all the beauty and sacredness
Jaxson was a little sick of travelling in a car for that long. Well we all were, but it was still fun
What a beautiful picture! the sky too of course...ha.ha.
Jaxson is ready to get soaked in the Niagara Falls baby!
The Maid of the Mist was the ferry that we took through the falls, it was like a fabulous water park ride, and I wanted to go in it again and again. Seriously, probably best part of the trip for me.
The american falls
We got to walk up right to the falls, talk about getting soaked
The whole picture and boy was it gorgeous, God sure is a fantastic artist.
The canadian Falls
We were also able to see the Hill Cumorah Pageant, which was fabulous! They actually put a ton of time and thought into the script, and there are several special effects that really catch the audiences attention. I am so glad I went 3 hours in advance for great seats. It was a fun and inspiring trip and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Trip to Philly!

We decided last minute last weekend to take a quick trip to Philadelphia PA, only 1 1/2 hrs away from where we live. It turned out to be so refreshing and full of history. We took a tour bus which told us so much we didn't know. We visited places like the liberty bell and the independence hall, the columns that Rocky climbed up to in the movie! and many more memorable places. It was such a fun trip, we're so glad we went! (and glad that mom had discounts to the marriott!)

The Benjamin Franklin Science Museum.
This was so cool, the machine took a picture of your face and then you could change your age and see what you would look like! We tried it on Jaxson but it seemed impossible to get a good picture just because he moves so much and the youngest age you can do it is 6years because of the facial features in babies are just not there. But we tried it anyway, this is kinda what he'll look like when he is 15. I hope he looks a little bit older than that....

Happy 4th of July!

What a fabulous day yesterday was! It was great to celebrate our independance, especially with my husband! He got off work at 4, and he usually works til 11pm! That reason alone gave us reason to celebrate. We had a great day. We went to a company BBQ with great food and fun games. Then some of us went down to see the Macy's Fireworks in the city, and really all we could see was smoke and the fireworks in the distance. So I just stole a picture from online which displayed them much better than I could. It was georgeous. I guess they lite 1000 Fireworks per minute. Fun huh.
This is what we saw.

Jaxson's first crawl

I think he was pooing at the end, that's what those grunts were for.haha. So yesterday, he took a few shaky crawling after I had been doing stuff on the computer for work, and I know I left him on his stomach to play and reach for things. Well to my suprise when I turned around, he was sitting up! I was just so excited to see him doing that by himself, I didn't even care what happened next. Well soon after he was on all fours and going to his little yellow ball. Today he is getting even better, and tomorrow I'm sure I'll have to chase him across the room and tell him not to get into the TV wires! Fun huh.
