Fun with the in-laws in Palmyra & Niagara Falls

Hillary our niece is a little camera shy! But Grandpa was determined to get her picture.Grandma and Jaxson are having a good time eating together!

Nate wanted to take a pic and and it looks like no one wanted to comply but him. ha. We probably were all tired from this long drive from our house in NJ. Its about 6 hours each way.
Joseph Smith's log cabin on a beautiful day
Walking through the Sacred Grove
We actually saw a pillar of light! It was exactly over our heads, but I would say it wasn't quite brighter than the sun...it was more like the actual sun, but it was still fabulous experience seeing the scene of the crime as some would say! ha. But seriously, what a blessing to have someone so courageous as Joseph Smith to overcome the adversary and ask the Lord which church was true and to stick with it. I'm sure thankful for him. I hope you are too.
The Palmyra Temple, they actually built it where the actual log cabin would have been, and if you look through the front doors you can see all the way through it into the sacred grove, it's kinda cool.
Nate taking in all the beauty and sacredness
Jaxson was a little sick of travelling in a car for that long. Well we all were, but it was still fun
What a beautiful picture! the sky too of course...ha.ha.
Jaxson is ready to get soaked in the Niagara Falls baby!
The Maid of the Mist was the ferry that we took through the falls, it was like a fabulous water park ride, and I wanted to go in it again and again. Seriously, probably best part of the trip for me.
The american falls
We got to walk up right to the falls, talk about getting soaked
The whole picture and boy was it gorgeous, God sure is a fantastic artist.
The canadian Falls
We were also able to see the Hill Cumorah Pageant, which was fabulous! They actually put a ton of time and thought into the script, and there are several special effects that really catch the audiences attention. I am so glad I went 3 hours in advance for great seats. It was a fun and inspiring trip and I highly recommend it to everyone.

I've done that trip and I love it a ton! We didn't do the maid of the mist though because it was February and FREEZING!!!
